I have an oily t zone and I love dewy finishes.. I just powder my problem areas after foundation and I'm good. I really love ko gen do aqua foundation; looks just like fresh healthy skin.. and if your looking for a cheaper foundation try healthy fruit mix serum from bourgois.

I'm combo/oily and I use too faced born this way I love it even though it's more directed toward people with dry skin because it has alpine rose and coconut water. I do exactly what Hailey suggested and use a mattifying primer underneath to help control my oil along with using a little extra setting powder in my oily places

Milani has a new moisturizing primer that makes every foundation I have look dewy. Also their new foundation is pretty dewy as well. I have combo oily T as well and neither of these products pose any problems for me.

I like using the nyx matte finishing powder it works really good and makes my foundation look not so dewy and more natural... By far my fav drugstore product

Thanks for the replies, we have just got Sephora where I live (NZ) so I'm super excited to try new foundations that I couldn't find here.
What are the best brands of mattifying primer do you suggest? I work outside and the hot heat can make me an oil slick pretty quick. I have tried powders overtop but then it dulls my foundation down :(
Thanks so much :)

Too faced primed and poreless pure is my favorite! It's a pore filler, but it isn't silicone based and it doesn't have any oils either so it's really great for all skin types. Go to Sephora and put a little on the back of your hand and feel how soft it is! It's amazing! The only thing I don't like about it is the smell but that's just because it's made for sensitive skin so they don't add any additional scents or anything. It's not a bad smell and I only notice I when I put it on for a few seconds. Another thing that can help give you a dewy finish is adding one to two drops of oil to your foundation. I recommend Smashbox primer oil. You really need a very small amount of it so the bottle lasts forever as long as you don't accidentally spill it like me lol

Thank you Jamie, that info has helped a lot! I do have some larger pores that I wouldnt mind hiding and I like the fact that the Too Faced primer is silicone free.
You said about a couple of drops of oil to my foundation - can I useany make up based oil do you think? I also have a moisurising gel, do you think that would work?

Yeah any oil would probably be okay, just make sure you don't use much especially if you get oily. A travel sized bottle of maracuja oil might be something you'd be interested in. I wanna say they're like $16. It's not as oily feeling as the primer oil if that makes sense. Maybe the dropper is just smaller so I get less product, I don't know. I just like primer oil because it's supposed to help make your makeup last. The oil is going to help achieve the dewy effect better than a moisturizer would b.

Thanks Jamie, was going to try it today but chickened out in case I put too much oil in and come out like a greaseball. I have some rosehip oil which is specifically designed for the face so might try that. Will see how we go :)

No problem girl! Is it the Mario Badescu one?
