I have pretty decent skin. Minor breakouts rarely, combo with dry patches on forehead and around mouth. I use Josie Maran creamy Argan oil and CeraVe moisturizing lotion every night. I also use neutrogena light cleansing oil if I'm wearing makeup and Eucerin sensitive skin gentle hydrating cleanser. I also have PTR unwrinkle pads which I use not as regularly as I should.

My issue is the overall look of my skin. I feel as if my forehead not only has a bumpy texture, but my expression line is ridiculous (when I wear foundation it takes a good 30 mins for it to disappear).
I am in my late 20s and want to know what you ladies suggest.

Thanks!!

Have you considered having a professional peel? It will help smooth skin, make your products more effective, even out skin tone..really bring life to yoyr face. Many spas have winter specials right now. so a facial and light peel would be ideal if you can afford it. My spa is running specials for $60. Considering how amazing the results are and how effective your other products will be, it's cost effective in the big picture. I know I sometimes skip that pricey skin product and get a facial instead. You can hit up Yelp to find a reputable spa in your area.

You could follow up with using Glycolic acid in your skin care. Alpha Hydrox makes a fabulous 12 % "Souffle". You'd begin by introducing the product slowly, maybe every 3rd day since you don't have problematic skin by nature. Sunscreen is a must if you go that route, but it's a great idea for everyone anyway.
The Alpha Hydrox is sold at Walgreens and Drugstore.com for about $15.  :)

Thank you so much Rozberry! I think I've been putting off that suggestion from you. Lol. I'll see if there are any good salons offering some sort of deal and take it from there. I'll look into that product and should get some sunscreen. Any reccs that won't be greasy?

I like CeraVe AM most days. They can often pair facials with a peel or dermaplaning, another way to bring glow to the sjin. These are simple with no down time. Even your makeup will look better. Sabrina, our dear mod, just had a facial recently so she can perhaps help you out. The dermaplaning is simple and quick. The light peels, the Estie can personalize to suit your skin. I think you'd be impressed with how one visit can bring skin back to life. :)

You're totally right. The last facial I had was several years ago, and while initially I walked out with a irritated face, if I remember correctly the day after it looked much better. I found a spa near me that has some good reviews. Mini facial-40 min $45; sensitive skin & dehydrated skin - 60 mins $70. Have to think more about it!

If you decide to go for a facial or treatment, ask them what line they are using and ask the Estie if you could come in for a test patch on your arm, as your last facial left your skin irritated. Since you didn't get a peel, you shouldn't have left with irritation. It could have been a reaction to an ingredient. I love the Dermalogica line and even use some of their products, but had a facial using exclusively their products and had a reaction. My Estie now has me come in a few days before a scheduled visit and does a test patch if we are going to be trying something for the first time. It took only a moment and it helped her customize products for my face. Read their website or stop in to pick up a brochure to see exactly what they'll be doing with each package. My favorite part is the neck massage at the end of mine. ;) I hope you go and this time, have no irritation. Take a selfie of you before your visit and after, just for your own eyes so you can see the differences..what and where they are.
Ahhh..now I want one. Hurray for winter pick-me-ups!  :)
