Hi girls,
I've been using Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place foundation for a while now and I really like it.. But I haven't tried very many foundations... I'm just wondering, for anyone that has tried this and other foundations, is there a better one?? Should I try something new or just stick with what I know is safe??

By the way I have combination skin and a pretty substantial amount of imperfections/discoloration

I was using the double wear for awhile then switched to lancome teint idol 24hr and its amazinnnnggggg I recomend it but if you have dry patches you have to make sure to moisturize.

I used Double Wear, tried a few other foundations, and have gone back to Double Wear. I absolutely love it and is currently my favorite foundation, I don't know why I left it to begin with.

I used several before double wear, and so far double wear is the only one I've tried that stays on my oily nose.

Hmmm I was looking into the Lancôme Teint Idol already so maybe I will try that too!! I just really like the Double Wear so I don't want to switch, but if I can find something I like more then I don't want to miss out on it!!

I feel like I'm the only one that doesn't like the Lancôme Teint Idol, it was far too matte for me and I found it very hard to blend.

I returned my double wear after like a week. I have (mainly) normal to dry skin and it didn't work for me. It made my skin look super dry and also the lady just could not match me... We tried multiple different shades and everything was either too orange or too yellow I don't know. Not a fan.

For combo skin I highly suggest the dior diorskin nude skin glowing makeup.

Dana, I can't believe you didn't like it!! It's amazing and one of the only foundations I've ever had that I feel like perfectly matches my skin!! I'm sorry it didn't work for you.
I think I may just head into Sephora and grab some samples!!

So far the double wear is my favorite too. I just feel more secure with this foundation, because I can be sure that it will stay all day, even during the biggest heat in summer. I have some other foundations, but prefer the double wear.

Dior makes the best foundations, imo. However, the coverage is a bit less because many of them are luminous. I just add my CoverFX Custom Drops to them to get the full coverage I want.
For your question, I say take advantage of the fact that Sephora gives samples and try out different ones! KVD has high coverage. Get those free samples girl and you're sure to find one you love!

I also don't like Double Wear and I also have very dry skin. From what I hear, Double Wear is not for those with dry skin. Although I do like the Double Wear MAXIMUM Coverage for my nose only (I wear glasse most of the time) but it really adheres well and the Maximum Coverage's thinner texture (thinner than the regular Double Wear) doesn't cake up around the nose.

The CoverFX custom cover drop mixed with a little bit of a regular primer works AMAZING.
The drops themselves are super drying and really stick on the skin so even though you mix a little bit of primer with them they're super long lasting on the skin even when it's hot, I'm sweating and normally super oily, this stuff really sticks.
I find that I need like a dime size amount or less of primer and like 5 drops of the custom cover drops for full coverage

Another good option is the MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof foundation. I'm super oily use tretinoin so I'm also peeling here and there and I just exfoliate and use moisturizer on the dry areas and I find that this foundation lasts ALL day as well. It has a satin finish and is flash photography friendly, doesn't look cakey when applied with fingers and gives medium-buildable coverage.
I like to use this foundation with my Palladio Rice Powder and it doesn't budge, even when I was out for a like 5 hours in a super humid place and thinking I was sweating my makeup off but I checked the mirror and it really didn't budge.
I don't feel as though it emphasized any dry areas
