From your profile, it says you have tan skin. Have you tried using a peach, salmon, or orange corrector underneath your eyes before applying concealer? NYX, Bobbi Brown, and Pixi all have good ones that I recommend. I would also try a higher coverage under eye concealer like it cosmetics Bye Bye Under eye, which is one of my holy grail. I hope this helped!!

When you get a grey result it's because the product is too light or too neutral. You would probably benefit from a peach corrector/concealer or a warmer toned concealer. What foundation and concealer are you using, including the shade?

I suggest trying the L..A..Girl Pro HD Corrector in ORANGE. It is a darker orange than the usual "peach" corrector. It's targeted toward tan to richer skintones. I would check out some videos on it on youtube. Esp. the NYX Orange Corrector Vs L..A. Girl Orange Corrector. IMO, the NYX one is a better for light to medium skintones with mild to moderate darkness.

That's why I suggested watching a youtube video on a few girls using it. After blending the corrector, you apply your concealer over it. It looks scary and takes practice, but it's an inexpensive product so I definitely think it's worth trying.

A photo would be helpful, but I suggest an orange corrector. I myself have the same issue on fair skin unless I use a yellow one.

When you use a concealer that is too light it will end up looking grey.

Yes, it may match your face but it doesn't match the dark circles which for most people can be anywhere from 1-4 shades darker than their actual skin tone.

I highly suggest getting an orange concealer or matter lipstick to use to color-correct.
It won't be "too dark" it may be vibrant but you only need a TINY amount to make under your eyes look orangey not full on orange. Then apply concealer over.

OR you can mix the orange with your regular concealer and get a peachy version of your concealer then apply a THIN layer of the mixture, let it dry down and then put concealer without orange to cover any excess peach/orange

Don't put a thick layer of oranges by itself because it will end up looking peachy under the eyes after you put concealer on and can sometimes be fairly obvious if you used too much.
