Is there any considered "fashion faux pas" that you consider not that bad/something you'd wear? (Ex: socks with sandals, double denim, etc.) I was thinking of this the other day and thought it would be interesting to see what people say. For me personally, I think double denim can be alright in certain situations (different colors/etc.

One thing that I can think of is that when it's really hot but I still need to do a lot of walking e.g. on holiday I sometimes wear a dress and trainers even though it looks so off with certain dresses. I caved in last holiday as I got blisters from wearing my sandals and it was so much nicer that I don't really care anymore how it looks lol.

Evening wear suring the day. I don't think it's that bad. I once had to wear my long purple gown because I couldn't do laundry for a few days so that was pretty much all I had at the time just to ho run an errand. I just wore it with my white cardigan and some flat strappy sandals and one of those boho crown headbands and it was able to pass off as elegant casual wear. I also felt very pretty that day :D.

I've been told that a fashion faux pas is wearing sportswear on a regular day. I wear sportswear most of the time because I'm a gymnastics coach and I don't see the point in changing after work if I'm just going shopping or something, so I wear sportswear a LOT.

I've always been the kind of person who likes contrasting color combinations - like blue and red or yellow and purple - but my "fashionista" friends are always telling me that I can't mix contrasting colors - or I'm not supposed to - or they wear stuff that all is the same matching color - like the shoes match the color of the purse and belt and I just hate that personally... Like I hate it when a person's color choices all match too much... Lol I don't know why but I just prefer contrasting colors - I think they pop more and look better together.
