I have minor acne and I was wondering if the Clean&Clear Persa Gel 10 acne cream would be a good addition to my skjncare routine to prevent and eliminate acne. Will it damage my skin at all? Is it safe? Does it work for minor acne? I currently don't use any anti-acne products in my skincare routine.

If you have minor acne I don't think you would need it and if you have dry skin I suggest you stay away from this product completely. I was using it for one week only on my acne spots ever night (I have moderate acne and extremely oily skin) and after only a week of using it my skin did clear up but it was not worth it because my skin was flaky and extremely dry where I applied the product. I use it only on two or three acne spots that are the worst and I can't stand looking at. I suggest you use a acne face wash with a good moisturizer instead of getting this product and see how that works first.

I think I'm just going to use it every other night then? I really like my current face wash, toner, and moisturizer so I rather not change them :) I thought adding something new to my routine would be better. Anyways, I bought it today because it recently got marked down at HEB so I'm going to try it out. But thanks for warning about dry skin. I think I'll just use it at night, every other night, and use a couple drops of argan oil along with it.

I have minor acne as well and I have super sensitive, dry skin with eczema. I only use a small amount on small specific spots so even when my eczema is pretty bad, I still use it only on the acne spots. It will burn slightly but it doesn't really irritate it further. I also find that it does not do anything for cystic acne. You will have to wait for them to form white heads and then proceed with the gel. For small spots, it becomes almost completely dried out or just disappears eith just one use but bigger spots need 2 to 3 nights of use and it is gone. It really is good, just make sure to use it before any oily moisturizer and when you have it on, layer it on generously and don't touch it unti lit fully dries.

I find this to be one of the best clinical strength spot treatments available at the drugstore, but it is insanely drying. The gel often makes it difficult to see how much you are truly using. If your skin tends to run dry, you may want to use something a little less potent. I'd shoot for around 2% Benzoyl Peroxide and incorporate a clay mask into your routine once a week or a toner with Glycolic acid or a BHA toner.

I used it last night and I definetly saw a huge improvement in my skin. It definetly is drying though but I really don't think its that bad. My skin was matte when I woke up, but not dry or flaky. I think its all about using lotion with it :) I can tell if I used it every night though I would get dry skin though. And I don't know why but whenever I use a clay mask my skin breaks out soooo bad. My skin just always looks nasty after one. I don't use clay masks anymore. (I was using the Mint Julep Mask btw). And I'll check out a BHA toner (is it like AHA? what's the difference?)

I have oily skin with very mild acne. I keep a tube of that around for when I do get pimples - when I do, they're huge & they hurt (but it's not cystic acne, just huge effing zits) & this is the only product that kills them effectively - yeah, it dries the hell out of my skin where I do apply it, but it works, & I mainly use it at night. A note though, don't put this stuff on & immediately go to bed, putting your face where you applied the product on your pillow - I did this once & the peroxide stained my pillowcase! Oops.

Lmao thanks for the warning Bailey because I was putting this stuff on at night and going to sleep XD.
