Hi everyone, so for the past month I have been searching for a prom dress both online and in stores, and unfortunately have not come across the right one. What I have come across is a scam website :( do any of you know good, reliable places to buy a prom dress under $200? Thank you :)

Well I haven't gone prom dress shopping before since I never went to prom but I bought a dress for my 18th birthday from a store called Princesa. I wouldn't recommend Windsor. Their dresses are made to fail. I once bought a dress from Wondsor and I was only able to get one use out of it before the zipper failed. Upon inspection the zipper ws actually made to fail. Beought it up with hubz and he said it's about making business. He's taken business classes and he said they do that on purpose so you have to buy more. Dear Alice dresses are made the same way. So make sure if you buy a dress with a zipper check the zipper. I always do that now.

Promgirl is a reputable site. They sell a lot of designer dresses, and they're listed as authorized vendors on the designer sites. Plus, they have a return policy!! I would check it out, it's where I got mine and I was not disappointed. :)

Sarah that's unfortunate that happened to you.I bought my daughter prom dress from Windsor last year and it was beautiful nothing wrong with any thing on the dress and it still holds up. I do think though we as consumers should always inspect the clothing we purchase like a hawk since so many go into a store trying on all these clothes even being tough on clothing zippers, buttons and such. I think it could happen at any store with any clothing but unfortunate none the less. Princessa also have great dresses. Great suggestions ladies. :)

I think prom girl is a super good and trustworthy website. I've gotten 3/4 of my formal dresses off of it and everytime they have been great! Whatever you do, don't fall for a sketchy Chinese website with extreme discounts bcuz the dress will look nothing like the pic. Good luck!
