Hi!! Does anyone have a technique on how to straighten hair without any heat, because I feel like my hair is getting burnt and I would like to stop using heat on it for a while.

What is your natural hair texture?

Why not just use a heat protectant spray?

My natural hair is wavy/curly and my hairdresser told me a couple of days ago that I needed to stop straightening it so much

I use the TRESEmmé heat defence styling spray but still feel like my hair is burning

Maybe that one isn't a good one - you can tell if it actually works by spraying it on your arm then using your blow dryer to test if you feel the heat on your arm - if you feel it then it's not working properly - I use one by Paul Mitchell and when I test it I can't feel the heat from the blow dryer.

The heat defence spray is true rubbish, I used to use it and it was dreadful. Lee Stafford makes a really good one, Wella do too :)

What one is your favourite and I'll give it a try?

You could also try to embrace your natural hairstyle - I have naturally wavy hair as well and I love beachy waves - you can get them with a sea salt spray but my waves are not as wavy as I want them so I usually use a volumizing mousse along with the scrunch hair spray by Aussie and let it air dry and it looks great - you can try different things to see what works best for you but I think that would be the best way to cut out heat completely and reduce damage.

Embrace your curls, girl! That's the best way to revive your hair and get it healthy again.

I used to French braid my hair every night before I went to sleep and wake up with it wavy, but throughout the day it would get really frizzy and not look good at all

Thanks for the advice ladies :)

A hair spray will definitely help with the frizz as well as getting haircuts to remove the damage.

(Do you guys wrap any more? That's what we did in my day, before blow-dryers. Works beautifully, overnight!)
