Just wondering what have you guys tried/swear by as far as primers for dry skin goes. For the most part I have normal skin. However, there are days when I have dry patches (usually around my mouth chin area and/or my forehead). I do moisturize but sometimes I have these "dryer" days. What's a good hydrating primer to combat dryness that'll last throughout the day and keep my makeup from caking. I was considering the blue Smashbox Hydrating Primer, but just wanted to get other suggestions and feedback before I maybe buy the travel version to try it out. Thanks!

Definitely the Smashbox Hydrating primer!
Smashbox has been getting me addicted to their primers lately. I now have quite a few from them and love every one of them so far!

Thanks Ladies! I currently do use the Smashbox photofinish and liked it so figured their hydrating primer would be pretty good too!

Their oil primer is pretty stellar. My favorite dry skin primer is Embryolisse Lait-creme Concentrate. You don't need much. You can also try adding a drop of facial oil to your foundation. It's such a lovely, dewy finish that won't accentuate patches.
MAC Strobe Cream also makes a great "primer".

I am loving Smashbox's new Water Primer. I thought it was kinda gimmicky, like what is spraying a water like substance going to do for me? But I really like it and it makes my skin look really healthy and glowy. I also like their new primer Oil but I think I like the water spray better.
I don't like the other original primers though... I've tried them all but I just don't care for them.

I agree with the Embryolisse as Rozberry mentioned (I actually tried it because she is always recommending it lol) but I had an AWFUL reaction to it. Not acne, but a rash and welps 😫 I was so sad because I really did love it. On the top of my list of best primers/moisturizers but it made my skin angry! Lol

I'm so sorry, Lisa! You may be mineral oil sensitive. :(

Okay, someone told me I may love their primer water before since I do already like Smashbox. Maybe I'll have to try that! And wow, somehow I missed that they have a primer oil. That may be what I need! I'l look into the Lait-Creme Concentre though. Its cheaper than smashbox too! :) Thank you guys.

I'm loving the reviews on the Embryolisse, Rozberry. I'll definitely have it try it out! Maybe start off with the smaller tube just to see how it works for me for a few days and then purchase a bigger bottle.
