- Good brushes
- A range of foundation shades and types
- Eyeshadow palettes containing neutrals, brights, warm, cool, shimmers, glitters, mattes, etc
- Lipsticks of various shades (generally the 'base' shades, I.e pink, red, nude. You can mix lipsticks together too to make custom colours)
- A blush palette or blushes of various shades
- Could include a contour kit or contour sticks
- Brow palette or shades of brow powder/pomade/pencils
- Eyeliners in key shades
- A clear lip gloss (always good to change up a look or make a lipstick more subtle)
- Concealers in various shades
- Pressed powder and finishing powder
- Could include a setting/finishing spray

Also lots of different types of foundation and a good contouring and highlighting kit works wonders.
