Yes I apply conditioner to the roots it mostly greasy at the top of my hair and I wash it probably 2-3 days

Don't apply the conditioner to your roots if you have a tendency to get greasy at the roots! Also make sure you rinse all the products out, left over products can cause greasy hair!
You can also use a dry shampoo in between washing!

You could also try an apple cider vinegar rinse to help minimize the oiliness but if it's genetic, there is only so much you can do to minimize the problem. And make sure you're using hair products made for your hairtype. And scrutinize everything else you are putting in your hair, like serums, styling products and hairspray. The can contribute to oiliness.

Wash your hair twice a week max with a sulfate free shampoo. It will get worse before it gets before, but it's worth it.

I wash my hair everyday and its not greasy. I switch shampoos and conditioners everyone I run out and never condition my roots, only do once or twice a week

I agree don't put moisturizing products or conditioner on your roots - and wash less often if you can - I notice my scalp is only oily on days I normally wash it - so I use a dry shampoo to soak up the oils on those days - you can try that too or if you have baby powder or setting powder you can use those instead - but if you have black/dark hair make sure you rub in the powder so it doesn't leave your hair looking white

I wash my hair every day lol. Not sure if it's the best thing for your hair, but at least it always feels squeaky clean :)

My hair gets greasy very quickly and I used to wash it everyday, but the only negative side effect I got from that was that split ends would appear a bit faster. If you feel uncomfortable otherwise, I think it's okay to wash your hair every day. I've at the moment cut it down to every second day as I want to maintain my colour as long as possible, and even though it's still not great on the second day, I feel it helps a lot to have your hair up while sleeping and batiste and syoss dry shampoos are good. also try to experiment with different shampoos and conditioners, it does make a difference in my experience. also I find that different water makes a difference to how quickly my hair goes greasy, I haven't really figured out what it is but I think it must be the difference in hard / soft water.

I know it sounds counterintuitive, but washing it less will help. I used to have the same problem. For the first few weeks you do it, it will seem like it isn't working, but stick with it. My hair can go a full week without getting greasy or stinking, and I've been doing this a few months. The reason why over washing your hair makes it greasy faster is that it strips that natural oils from it and then your scalp goes "Oh snap! Time to make more oils! Its getting dry out there." What you want to do is train your scalp to do that less.

A really good clarifying shampoo helps as well. ion has a clarifying shampoo as well as clarifying treatments that really help with a oily scalp.
