So this is the dilemma here. I suck so much at eyeshadow and yeah I'm new at it but I can't seem to blend my eyeshadow even though I use windshield wiper motion. I want that whole gradient effect but no matter what I can't seem to get it? It's starting to get really frustrating. Can anyone help?

Hi Shengmin - Here's a couple of links to some of the threads you have made about this subject in the past few days - There's a lot of great advice on these. In the second link Jacquline gives you very detailed help, if I were you I would read that again.

Are you using a primer? Something I like to do following primer is applying a shadow that's the same color as the rest of my face so I create a silkier base for the more pigmented shadows. Sometimes the shadows get kinda stuck on the primer or concealer or whatever and it can be pretty hard to blend.

@Sabrina yep I followed you guys advice I just can't seem to blend it somehow?

@stacie I do use a primer and it does feel like it's hard to blend. Should I use a translucent powder on it before blending?

I would put some sort of powder on top of your primer before you go in with any sort of pigmented shadow. Like a skin colored eye shadow or you could use a translucent powder or setting powder. Just something to make your eye base smooth and easier to blend
