About a month ago I had my toes painted with standard opi at the salon I tried to remove it with acetone today but it wouldn't budge does anybody have any suggestions please?

That sounds weird, a normal opi so go right of with a nail polish remover! Maybe try and let the cotton ball with nail polish remover sit on the nail for a minute or 2 and see if that doesn't help.

I've been on holiday so I don't know if that has effected it as the sea water and pool chlorine has stripped the shimmer out of the colour

I've had that before with nail polish during a holiday I think...even though it was just a very sheer colour it was really difficult to remove, I kept having to rub the nail before anything started coming off, I got most of it off in the end though, so just keep trying, I'm sure you'll get there. :)
