For that length and shape I would personally go with acrylics. Natural nails in that shape break fairly easily. My natural nails are very long and strong and when I tried out that shape they barely made it through the day!

I'm 18 and I've never had falsies either! I put it down to my doing gymnastics (and now coaching it) and working in a nursery, where I don't want to stab children haha:) those nails pictured are gorgeous. I'd go with acrylic nails for those, however you can go with a type of gel nails called biosculptures.

I would just do your research. Find someone who has a portfolio of their work online, and someone who puts the health of your nail first. I would not recommend going to a cheap nail salon as they do not properly sanitize their tools. Often there is a language barrier there so that can cause other mistakes. I fully believe you get what you pay for. My nail tech used my natural nails and puts a gel overlay on them so they are very thin and natural looking! It's different than shellac or gelish though, like the sculpting gel but she doesn't pile it on and then file it down.
