I love both these dresses but I don't know which one to wear to a formal event I have coming up for university? Excuse my awkward poses I hate taking pictures haha.

The black one looks more sophisticated although I do like the white one too!

For a ball, as lovely as you look in the black, neither seems a good fit for a formal ball at a University. The black is sexy, but for this specific occassion, it does not have the right feel. No offense intended. I speak with the utmost sincerity.

Rozberry, if Jasmine is talking about university in England, this is typical attire for a formal event at university in the UK :)

Interesting. Thank you, Hannah! A Ball is quite formal here, but I still have to stick to my original post...lol

Thanks everyone! I'm probably going to be wearing the black! Rozberry, in Australia uni balls are just an excuse for students to dress up and get drunk really. They aren't super formal or anything

Same here in England Jasmine! Where's the black dress from? It's lovely :)

Thanks Hannah! It's the zayda maxi dress from meshki boutique. It's an Australian online shop but I'm pretty sure they ship internationally

Well I'm all for getting drunk in a sexy dress with friends! It sounds like what some schools here call a "social" with peers instead of full University staff and families at a black tie affair and dinner...lots of shaking hands with people who could be employment opportunities.
The black it is. ;)
I hope you have fun!

Rozberry yes I guess it is a social as only peers attend.

Whoops! Balls here are white-tie formal, so I had no idea. Knowing this, I'd say the white.

Both are beautiful but the white seems a bit more formal to me
