Hi I just recently got an amazing piercing. I got the back of each ankle pierced. Just had to share.

Not right now my ankles look like Frankenstein because the bars are to long for the swelling

Marnie M.
And as a side note how many of you always wear a high heel no matter the occasion?

Wauw I never heard of getting you ankles pierced! I must admit it sounds scary and painful haha but I'm such a girl when it comes to needles! I would be to scared!
I'm not mu you for a high heal girl, I have really small feets and its alm is impossible for me to find heals that fits - so I prefer a cute sneaker!

It was painful for sure! But I love the look and the effect. I was in heels all the time before my piercing and this just fits perfectly

No mine goes the other direction behind my ankle bone where the tendon goes.

It sounds so cute and unique. I'd love to see it when it's calmed down a bit.

I love my heals but a broken ankle 2 years ago unfortunately slow me down from wearing them all the time! I'm curious to see that piercing!
Mar 24, 2016
Marnie M.
It's an unusual piercing because it really makes you wear heels. The placement stops the tendon from extending enough for wearing flats.
Mar 24, 2016
Genevieve D.
So your piercing interfere with the tendon working properly?
Mar 24, 2016
Marnie M.
It keeps your ankles flexed like your wearing heels. So yes it does.
Mar 24, 2016
Sabrina K.
Does that mean that you can't walk flat!? Like when your not wearing shoes do youhave to walk on your toes?
Mar 24, 2016
Marnie M.
I actually do wear shoes most of the time. And yes walking flat is out of the question
Mar 24, 2016
Sabrina K.
Well yes of cause wearing shoes when you are out and doing something - but I mean when you are at home, just walking around the house, getting ready to go to bed and stuff like that!
Mar 24, 2016
Marnie M.
No I always need to wear a heel unless I want to tip toe around the house. A 4 to 5 inch heel works best
Mar 24, 2016
Sabrina K.
Wauw! I could not imagine that! Definitely makes going to the gym hard haha!
Mar 24, 2016
Marnie M.
I have a treadmill at home. It actually makes wearing heels easier.

I wear heeled boots daily and they're really good for everyday heels, you can get heels which are really comfortable too which I'd recommend for everyday wear. Scholl make really good insoles too which make them comfortable, I think they're called party feet.

I don't know how other girls walk all day without heels on. I agree booties with a high heel are super comfortable!
Mar 24, 2016
Genevieve D.
I can agree with loving to wear heels, but I really don't like the tought of a piercing that prevents me from walking without them! As long as YOU like it!

Marnie M.
I understand where this would not work for most girls. It was purely a personal decision for me.

Now what I want to know is what kind of effects will this have on your legs/tendons later on in life. not to sound like a buzz kill or anything. I would imagine that in a year or whatever when you decide to take it out, your tendon would shrink over time and the positivity of walking flat would be slim to none, or painful. I'm not in the health field so I don't know that for sure.
