I am in a wedding at the beginning of May. The bride isn't too particular about makeup so I'm not sure what I want to do. I have a photo of the dress on another girl (she is really short so is about knee length on me) and my boots. I'm assuming the typical keep it simple to not outshine bride and nothing heavy looking. I'm not the greatest at makeup so want to start practicing now. I am very fair skinned (but not the fairest), I get red easily, foundation easily looks cakey on me, and I do not look good with anything too harsh like dark liner on bottom. Any tips for looking extra fresh, staying power, and colors would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I am also at a loss as to how to do my hair. I don't think she is going to have someone available to the brides (more relaxed etc.but I want to look perfect for the event). It's an outdoor/barn type venue so I'll be out in the elements and dancing a ton. I have very long blonde hair that is stick straight and fine (but a lot of hair). It doesn't curl easily or tease easily for even professionals without looking messy because of my texture. Oh, I wish I could braid. Maybe I can learn for this..? : )

I would say a messy curly updo with a soft gold eye and a springy pink lip.
