after many failed attempts to return to my natural hair color, I am debating buzzing my hair super short, like maybe an inch long? but I have been working hard to grow my hair long too. I would love other suggestions for what to do?

Yikes! I'm not a hair expert, but there must be another option. Have you tried deep conditioning to bring your hair into a healthier state for changing color? I know when I was blonde & wanted to return to my natural; my hairdresser put a reddish base on before the brown to achieve a more natural color.

Go to your salon, even if it means spending more money than usual, you'll still get to keep your length

I think you would want to be 100% sure if you were to cut your hair that short. If you regretted it later, it will take a long time to grow it back, and with it being that short you couldnt even get extensions for a while. So, I would suggest going to a salon and dying it as close as possible to your natural color. They can usually get pretty close, and you could probably get it done for a fairly reasonable price.

Make sure you're positive of your decision before doing anything! I am naturally blonde and decide to dye my hair black a while ago and I hated it. I used hair dye color remover "Oops!" It went almost exactly back to my natural! You should try it before cutting it all off!

Jeez. That's drastic. Just grow it out. It's not like ombre...or even reverse ombre isn't stylish these days.
*Oops works pretty well too. I use it with relative frequency, depending on what I'm trying to do.
