It's similar to foundation so check the shades and compare. If anything see if you can get a sample or test it. Hope this helped with your second question:) o btw I also recommend maybeline:)

Usually there is a light to medium then mudium to dark and if not test it out or go by what looks closest you can always return it if its not right

I have tried both Asian and westerns ones and I really think Asian bb cream are generally better (longer lasting, better coverage, higher SPF). It's not too expansive either(below $20), I love Lioele waterdrop Bb cream, Missha perfect cover( multiple shades), innisfree green tea bb cream(organic). Hope it helps!

There's a new Garnier bb cream specifically for combo/oily skin - it's ten times better than the original one they came out with year, which was way too heavy and greasy. I also have combo skin :-)

All of the Lioele BB creams are amazing! You can get them off amazon. Garnier is my favorite drugstore one.

also cvs allows returns if your cosmetics aren't what you thought. It's easy to find the right shade!

Garnier! You get WAY more for your money compared to maybelline. I use it and love it.
