So Im dying my hair redish burgundy this
Weekend along with getting 20' inch hair extensions. The hair dresser said that gluing in my extensions would be 550. The dying of my own hair would be 85 and the brazillian blow out would be 175 to keep my hair looking shiny and what not. Total is around $800 . Would you pay for this ? How much have you paid for your hair ? And does this sound reasonable

Noooooo ! $550 for GLUED IN extensions is absurd ! That's way over priced unless that includes you also buying the hair from them too

I agree, I used to work in a salon, many women paid even more for that service. It will look beautiful, just remember, the extensions will only last 7 months and then you'll need to pay to have them re glued again.

I paid 217 for my 22 inch extensions, 20 dollars for dye, and 100 to get them installed.

That actually seems pretty cheap.

I usually pay $350 for just a dye, wash, cut and style.

Hair extensions in salons around where I live typically charge $800-$1600 for just the extensions (and putting them in).

I go to a lady that works out of her house and for all that I pretty much pay half of what they wanna make you pay

That's better than mine, when I dye my hair and get my extensions put in it usually costs me about 1300.

Woah thats crazy! I got full head clip in extensions for around $75!

I personally wouldn't spend that much, but that is industry-standard pricing. You could get a freelance hairstylist to do your fusions for less money for sure. But to be honest, I do not recommend fusion extensions at all. They are so damaging to your hair, despite what they say. I have had them myself, and also have taken courses to learn how to apply them. I had them removed by a really talented hair stylist with years of experience, and still experienced significant hair loss. So my suggestion would be to try micro-loop or clip-ins. You'll save yourself a couple hundred bucks and also a headache later (removal of fusions = hell ).

it depends on where you live. where I live it costs 400 to do all that because we have a lot of top salons and hairstylists in a small area

and personally I am against real hair extensions since some of them are bribed off of children in poor countries for toys

I also am a hairstylist. If you don't have to pay extra for the hair you are getting a really good deal on the extensions. If you do have to pay then maybe consider finding someone cheaper? But all in all everything is priced comparably. It just seems like a lot because you are getting everything done at once. :) post before and after pics!
