I have combination skin. It's oily through the cheeks, nose, and upper forehead. However, my brow area and middle to lower forehead (top of the T-zone) gets extremely dry to the point of flaking skin. I exfoliate like crazy before applying any makeup there but it always comes back and is always noticeable. Any ideas as to what I could do?

You shouldn't exfloiate more than 4 times a week, even if you're oily. Do you moisturize? that's very important even for us girls with oily skin. I recommend Cliniques moisturizing gel. also the right foundation and powder. What do you use?

I use a small layer of Noxzema to moisturize as well as e.l.f tinted moisturizer. I tend not to use foundation or powder right now since it just accentuates the dry patch.

I would recommend only exfoliating 1-2 times a week or u will strip the moisture on your face which would explain the dry patches.. Try using a daily oil control like Cetaphil if u have sensitive skin and moisturize with Clinique moisturizer twice a day and it won't clog your pores... If u only have oily skin on certain portions then treat them according to where the problems are separately rather than all together.

Try the Neautrogena Deep Clean Daily Scrub. It is absolutely amazing! It wicks away oil and has long lasting shine control without drying out your skin! It is oil free and doesn't clog your pores. It makes your skin feel and look great!

Hi I have combo/oily skin too. If you are experiencing dryness there are many thing you can do to alleviate it. If you are exfoliating daily you might cut back to 2-3x p/.week. I personally like daily exfoliation but I use very light exfoliation products. You also want to cut back on any products that could be drying your skin out. This mostly applies to acne products containing salyclic. Make sure you applying moisturizer daily and nightly. Hope this helps!
