I think it depends on what kind of design you want on your nails, some look better with round nails and others look better with square nails.

I really like both. Aslong as the rounded arn't sharp and pointy (I prefer claws to be on animals). However if you're wanting them to stay long for a greater amount of time I'd choose square.

I'm with Abby; super square nails do look trashy :/ I feel like (and this is just my opinion) rounded nails are far more elegant than square nails. It takes more time, precision, and patience to make round nails just so. For a lot of people, it just takes filing straight for a bit to make square nails. There is shaping involved, but I like round nails, because I feel like they say "I took time and effort because I wanted my nails to look their best" I don't hate square nails; I just love round.
