how often must you clean your brushes like your powder brush? I have oily skin so I don't want to end up breaking out because of it.

once a month or so, when they are really dirt. Just clean them with dishwashing detergent, if they have natural fibres then also use olive oil.

I would wash your brush at least every other day. Built up oil in the brush will cause your powders to cake not only in the container but on your face. I like to use baby shampoo because it won't strip the antibacterial coating on your bristles like antibacterial dish soap will.

Whenever I get asked 'How often do you clean your brushes?' I reply, "Well, how often do you shampoo your hair?" Your brushes deserve the same kind of love and attention.
I spot clean mine whenever I use them with brush cleaning spray. Sephora and Japonesque carry them. Once a week my brushes get a deep cleaning with baby shampoo and warm water.

I do a deep cleaning of my brushes once a month with baby shampoo. On a weekly basis I spray them with brush cleaner and wipe them on a paper towel, them lady them flat to dry or I use the brush guard and place them upside down in a cup or large container.

I agree with Erica, every other day. I use baby shampoo and cool to lukewarm water. Remove the excess water and lay them flat to dry

I shoot for weekly. I wash mine with antibacterial soap and warm water, then lie flat to dry. That is for my personal brushes. I, of course, wash my pro ones every time I use them.

I wash mine everyday. I can't stand the thought of using makeup brushes from the day before as I touch up frequently and all that oil and sweat gets on the brushes so I have to wash them every night and use fresh clean brushes the next day. I feel much better by doing this and nothing is transferred from the brushes to your face from the day before. It takes me about 2 minutes to wash them and I use Fairy liquid, it helps a ton to get rid of all that makeup product.

I don't wash them every day but, I do take the dirty brushes out of my containers and lay them in a drawer so I know that they need to be washed. I like to use different products just about daily and I don't want the cross contamination. Washing your brushes is extremely important so you are not carrying bacteria on them and putting it back onto your face.

Use a daily spray for spot cleaning and baby shampoo with olive oil for deep cleaning when needed.

I've gotten into the habit of doing a thorough cleaning of my brush once a week using brush shampoo or a gentle soap. On a daily basis I do a quick clean of each brush I use by wiping them on a make-up remover towelette, reshape and put them away for the next day.

you really really really really need to wash your foundation powder and blush brushes everyday your putting old dirt and dust and bacteria on your face. germs burrows there and lives in old makeup so wash everynight so you can wake up to dry clean babies.

I wash my brushes every time I use them. :) it just feels a lot more hygienic to me and definitely minimises break outs! And this may sound different but I actually use hand wash on my brushes. Works well for me and removes all the makeup :)

I spot clean every day, and deep clean them every Sunday.
