My nose peels constantly and I always exfoliate . when I apply my tinted moisturizer my nose looks gross -> flakey/ crusty/cakey !
What can I do to make it less noticeable?

what I do is after you apply your makeup is pat a little water onto the spots that are peeling and it makes it less visible. But a good moisturizer to use before your makeup that helps stop peeling is Simple Vital Vitamin Day Cream. Or Aveeno Eczema therapy moisturizing cream

get a good skin care routine it is really important, you will use at lot less making then trying to cover up flake skin, also an exfoliating will help xxx

I have the same problem. I exfoliate & keep up a skin care routine but I always have this flaky/peeled look on my skin. Even AFTER I moisturize. This has been happening for a while now too D=

I had to do a photoshoot for school and my model had dry skin in the same area. My teacher put insta smooth by origins on her skin then I very lightly applied her foundation and by very lightly I mean barely even touched the skin. But the end result was great. Sadly I don't have the pics yet though :/ hope this helped a bit.

I had the same problem until I saw my dermatologist. She diagnosed it as a condition similar to dandruff (the skin kind, not product-buildup kind) and prescribed me a topical medicine that stops the skin from cracking. If moisturizing isn't helping, seeing a dermatologist can probably help!

My skin is exactly the same! Once a week I exfoliate with a homemade sugar scrub (extra virgin olive oil and sugar! It doesn't clog pores or cause acne, don't worry) then I wash my face with any facial wash I like Cetaphil but I am currently using Biore . Then after that I use a facial mask, and after that I take a lot of moisturizer and plop it on my face. I lightly rub it in so you have a thick layer of moisturizer on. Apply heavily in dry flaky areas. Leave the moisturizer on for 5-10 minutes and you should be set for a day or two. Keep up with your normal routine and moisturizer every day! Make sure your face wash doesn't have crazy high levels of salicylic acid, because this could be causing your flakiness!

i have the same problem. When i just finish my bath my nose starts peeling due to i shower with water way too hot, so as soon as i go out of the bath i use a special moisturizer that my dermatologist gave me, its named La Roche-Posay Hydraphase UV Legere , and then i apply it. Also, i use this before i go to bed, try this, it really works!

I have been dealing with this issue for awhile as well. It's almost like the scaliness doesn't show until my foundation is on and I use an extremely emollient moisturizer with lots of pure aloe vera and a good facial scrub. I don't have medical insurance so a dermatologist is kind of out of the question unfortunately.

Are you over exfoliating your skin? How often do you exfoliate?

Get some cocoa butter on flaky patches every night and rinse off in the morning

Exfoliating dries your skin, so only exfoliate a few times a week. I have the same problem and if I use a facial lotion before putting on makeup it disappears!!

I only exfoliate twice a week. I think I'm going to try pure shea butter on my nose at night, maybe that'll help. It will go away if I put moisturizer on it but reappears later in the day.
