I am trying to decide to which is better for a makeup tutorial: portrait view, zoomed in on the eye, or partly zoomed in?

You can do different views at different times. I usually do portrait view and sometimes partly zoom in. It depends on what you think looks better. Try messing around with the views and see which one you like better, you can also use more then one view in a video.
