What skincare products would you recommend using to help combat the flaky skin caused by the Retin A?
Also, my derm has me using Onexton (3.75% Benzyl Peroxide/clydamycin phosphate) every morning for acne which also causes dryness and irritation.
Morning Routine:
Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Foaming Face Wash
Simple Toner
Onexton
Neutrogena Healthy Skin Moisturizer spf 50
Night Routine:
Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Foaming Face Wash
Simple Toner
Retin A Micro 0.08% Gel (After 20 min Every Other Night until May)
Cerave Pm Moisturizer (45 min after Retin A)

I use Retin A and I find any foaming face wash, no matter how gentle, causes more dryness for my skin.
I like to use CeraVe Hydrating cleanser and use the foreo Luna tool to cleanse my face morning and night.
I wonder if a hydrating serum would benefit you too but I'm not sure how it would work using Retin A.
Are you doing any masks? I like to do a hydrating one twice a week. I like the first aid beauty oatmeal one and Estee Lauder Revitalizing Supreme Global Anti-Aging Mask Boost.

Always always always always always wear sunscreen with Retin A. The only other product I ever used with Retin A was Cetaphil. Maybe try not using any other product?

I find that the moisturizer mixing with the Onexton causes most of the irritation. The Retin A doesn't cause any problem other than the peeling skin. But I know that is normal. But the stinging is an issue. So I might try a different moisturizer with SPF and see if they mix better.
