Yes... my first few times were hard lol it took practice... practice.. practice.
I've found if you don't use a complete kit from the same brand it makes a big difference. if the liquid and powder hardens too fast you're doomed lol

I would just suggest bringing the acrylic a little further back towards your cuticle.
that was always my hardest problem.. trying to keep the whole thing smooth.
