So as I've reached an age where the dermatologist says its okay to where foundation/skin makeup I've been wondering if I need it or not. I have very clear skin, no acne or pimples but my skin is naturally rosy. That's great because I always looked "flushed" but again my skin is just overwhelmingly red sometimes. In many pictures I look like I have on too much blush and this has prompted me to ask you beauty experts your opinion on what I should do? I have sensitive skin but have found a foundation I love and don't need anything over it so that's not the issue but I don't want to mess up my skin by covering it with foundation. Essentially after hearing my rant, do you think I should give in and wear foundation for my redness or not?

I would try a bb cream first

From your pictures, your skin looks AMAZING but if you're self-conscious about the redness, then just try a tinted Moisturizer, and if that's not enough, then go with a bb like Erin said!

Hmm maybe try using a green primer (such as MUFE step 1) & a bb cream.

I agree, a bb or tinted moisturizer is probably all you need. You can always build it up if you feel you need more coverage.

I agree with a bb cream.

I think CC creams deal with redness more effectively than BB creams...although both are great.

I would say that you need a tinted moisturizer and a cc cream. CC creams are for colour correcting which in this case I think it would work better for you. A tinted moisturizer would also work well for you. Since you have sensitive skin check out the brand Marcelle. I have their tinted moisturizer and it's great and they also have a cc cream. If you're worried about foundation damaging your skin you should try wearing a primer. It creates a barrier between your face and your makeup. Also just try to avoid wearing foundation everyday and when you wear makeup make sure you wash is all off properly and your skin should still be fine.

I think foundation would be too heavy, a BB cream would be a better option for you. Since you tend to "flush" did your dermatologist say anything about rosacea? My mom's skin tends to "flush" and my dermatologist prescribed her Rosamet, generic metronidazole.
