Deep skin tones can't wear light pinks and "nude" lipstick really. Just how you said, it washes them out. Try using on her lipstick that are very deep, plum, dark red, dark magenta, bronze, chocolate ones if you want nude for her skin tone, dark oranges (very popular in movies hah) if she isn't brave enough start off by using the more 'nude' ones such as very dark pink or brownish ones :) the thing I would suggest it doing her whole complexion - face, eyes, lips... Because if she is going to wear only lipstick it will look like what? O.o because the guide to be beautiful make up is to have it complete. PLUS the lipstick will look better! :) she doesn't need to wear anything heavy, bb cream which is very light like moisturiser so she won't feel like it is like 'mask' when she is starting off, mascara for volume, sweep of some simple Matt eyeshadow. And done! If she doesn't want to, there is no more make up for her to wear. But trust me, using three products on face is totally fine and not made up :) it will look nicer, just saying

Sisi nudes and light pinks look great on dark skin tones, I don't think it washes them out.
dark skin tones can pull off anything.

Sisi, she isn't allowed to wear makeup and just doesn't feel the need for it but she really likes lipstick and her mom allows her to wear it :)

Tell her to buy a shade of each color and see what she likes. People say purple looks good on me but personally, I hate it. A huge chunk is personal preference.

@Les - There's plenty that washes us out. A nude without a proper lip liner can make me look dead.

Wouldn't a white base for your lips make colors pop out? :o maybe try finding a white lip and going over it with any desired color

I know some people put a lip primer or even concealer on to make them more poppy :o hope this helps
