You have tons of time, there's no need to panic! I brought my prom dress like a month before, did my make-up and hair with no previous thought about it haha:)
TKMaxx/TJMaxx have some beautiful and inexpensive dresses, that's where I got mine from and I love it. I'd suggest looking and buying instore rather than online unless the dress is custom made (as in measurements) for you.
