I purchased a beauty blender sponge. I wetted it and rung it out like you're supposed to. I even watched YouTube videos before using it. I tried it this morning and I got a very patchy streaky uneven application. any suggestions?

I would suggest maybe leaving it a little bit wetter, maybe try squeezing out less water :)
Otherwise I agree the Janelle, the motion of the sponge is important

I noticed I had to Drench it to REALLY Dampen it. I let it run underneath the running water for about a minute or so. At the same time squeezing water out and letting it soak again. I even washed it first a couple of times to let all the pink dye run off the sponge then after it was washed a couple times my results were very good.

I just use a disposable sponge, but I first smudge the color on and then stipple it into my skin.

I'll try it a bit more wet next time.
