Growth under fingernail.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I cannot cut off that point on my finger because it is like the pink flesh under my nail has grown out, if I let my nails grow long enough I get a little sliver of like.. thin fingernail under my normal nail and it hurts if I pull it. Sorry if this question isn't allowed. :(

Maybe use a nail file?

I know what you're talking about! it's not a growth at all, it's totally natural. it's your skin's response to your nails being super short all the time, unfortunately. You can pull it out if you want, or not! the pain goes away quickly, but it will grow back until you start keeping your nails a bit longer.
