Hi everyone :) so I am in need of a good cool toned, not orange cream contour product for underneath the Kevyn Aucoin sculpting powder, as I feel it is not harsh enough on its own in my taste. Foundation sticks/ contour palette/ cream foundation suggestions? Thanks in advance. (:

I've heard very good things about Illamasqua's cream pigment in Hollow, it's a nice cool toned brown that seems like it would be nice for contouring. It's a little expensive but if it works then it's worth it, right? :)

Illamaquas "hollow" cream pigment! It has like a more grayish toned base which makes the perfect natural shadow, and it blends out beautifully!

I think I heard NYX blush in taupe is good for contouring.

Bailee before I get into anything I need to ask how are you applying it? And what do you think contouring is? The finish is suppose to be seamless and subtle.that Kevyn powder can go on intensely.

I know what contouring is, I'm a cosmetology student lol. I apply it with an angled contour brush, but it doesn't show up strong on my temples and around my hair line the way I like.

I like to be able to see a difference and I can't in certain places. It works great on my cheekbones though.

I would try out the RCMA cream contour shades, that Pigment by illamasqua is more subtle than the Kevyn Aucoin powder. RCMA has some cool toned browns, I am actually supposed to be getting mone in the mail today so I'll swatch it for you later if you'd like :)

Lol I get that you know what contouring is I'm asking, what you thought it was going to look like. Are You wanting visible lines/drama? Do you happen to have a slightly tapered brush? a tapered brush will grab the intensity of the product and give more drama. When you apply on your cheek try not to go straight to the hair line, you need to swoop it up as you build up to the temple to show a change shape effect then after you blend it out a bit you add the sister's product of your choice, blush, bronze, highlight to give more intense drama. Rcma is a great choice for cream and also Nars face multiple 's. :)

Okay so top left is Illamasqua's pigment in Hollow.. Its very pretty but a far cry from dramatic if thats what you are looking for.
Top right is RCMAs in KN8 I believe..
And at the bottom is Kevyn Aucoin's contour powder for comparison.
