I wouldn't apply both cream and primer. one will do the trick! and maybe it's your eyeshadow? how old is it? what brand is it?

Or it could also be how you apply it?

I always put both eye cream & primer & mine doesn't look cakey.
You might need to let it absorb into your face though
It also might be old or something like lately not saiid

No it's not old:/ urban decay naked pallets and new high end makeup pallets :(

You could be putting too much on. It's just like face powder, if you apply too much it ends up powdery and cakey.

You could be applying in wrong. try gradually building it up, don't go all in with a big amount of it.

As Gisell said let it absorb all the way into the skin. Allow the eye cream to sit for a few minutes then apply the primer, also let that sit before applying shadow.

Could you post a picture of how it looks after? I'm curious to see exactly what's wrong with it
