It just looks like a powder brush - do you know the name of the brush?
I wouldnt use if for foundation, it dosent really look dens enough - but its hard to say just from a picture

Number 1 is very old and the bottom half is gone hahah so I'm not sure what brand it is, I could try and get a more closer photo?

And like what Laura says, a stippling brush would be better for foundation use. Try the RT or sigma F80. 😄

It looks like it's for a powder like the others said. I would use it for bronzer and blusher.

As the wonderful ladies above said, it definitely appears to be a powder brush; it is useful for applying any type of powder product to the face (Bronzer, blush, face powder). A stippling brush, foundation brush, or a brush like the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush (which is actually one of my personal favorites, as makeup glides on so smoothly with this tool) will work much better to apply foundation.
