I've been on the hunt for a brightening under eye concealer, but I'm just not having much luck. I don't have dark circles or anything that I necessarily need to cover up but I just want to obtain that bright under eye look and I'm having a hard time :( My first thought is to go buy the whitest concealer I can find, but that's probably the wrong approach...I bought the Tarte creaseless concealer in Light Sand, but I'm not sure if I like it. It's pretty thick and I don't want to have a bunch of makeup caked on. This is the look I'm trying to achieve. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

Maybeline fit me concealer is amazing! that is exactly what I use it for! I then set it with Lancome mattifying powder!

How many shades lighter than your foundation should you go?

^^ I agree! I love maybelline fit me, it's my favourite drugstore concealer.

I am usually the first to second lightest in foundation shades so I get the lightest concealer possible. I'd say if you are darker go one or two shades lighter.

I use Maybelline FitMe concealer as well...to conceal my undereye area and that stuff does offer a slight brightening effect so I definitely imagine as the beauties above me mentioned that it will definitely give you the look you are trying to achieve. I'm usually crazy for my Bobbi Brown Concealer and Corrector but Maybelline FitMe me hooked. Its also suppose to be a close dupe to Nars creamy concealer.

Thanks girls! Going to Walgreens tonight! :)

So, I went to Walgreens and they just happened to have BOGO on Maybelline products, so I got the Fit Me concealer in Fair, which was the second to lightest shade (I guess Light is lighter than Fair??), and I figured I would try the Fit Me foundation as well. I got the matte formula in Classic Ivory. Like the 4th or 5th color on the spectrum. I tried it when I got home with my KVD Shade and Light pallete, the middle yellowish highlight shade to set it, and I think I'm really going to like it! I think that Tarte concealer was just WAY too thick for use for under the eye. Thanks for the suggestions! I didn't bother with contour or blush since it is after 9pm, but I was pleased with the brightness of the two used together 😄 Do any of you have any experience with the Fit Me foundation? Thoughts?

@Shelley : would you mind telling me what shade you use in the Maybelline Fit me concealer? Thank you! :)

Something I actually know about! Thanks to my Irish Americaness, I have that cursed hollow face structure. Before I gave up & had them botoxed, I spent a fortune on under eye products. The only ones that ever touched them was Trish Mcevoy & Lancome under eye. I used the real techniques setting brush to seal them. They both worked wonders!

Fair is actually lighter than the shade light. Fair is numbered 15 and light is numbered 10. I made the mistake of getting light and it was literally orange! the shade fair is perfect.

Don't go too light, if you do, under the eye looks grayish. Try and match your skin tone and use highlighter

@Jill...my eyes gravitated towards your eyes...what eye shadow shades did you use? They really stand-out. :) The foundation application seems a bit heavy on the chin but other than that it looks great on you. How does it feel on your skin?
@Ealu...I use the shade Cafe #30. I hope this never gets discontinued or else I will be very upset.

Thanks Shelley. I used Colourpop in Birthday Girl and Smash, along with Olive green eye shadow from Mary Kay on the corners. I used NYX Studio liner as my top liner in Extreme Coffee. I think that's about it :)

I do have a Mac one that I use sometimes. Not sure what it's called but it's got yellowish cream on one end and a peachy cream on the other. Correct and Prime, maybe?

Or maybe it is the Prep and Prime :)

I just bought maybelline dark spot corrector, I use it only under my eyes and it's the best thing I've ever found.
