I don't know what scene hair is I'm sorry, but I think that if its something you like then you shouldn't be afraid of what other people will think! You should just rock it with confidence :)

You should do what ever you want or like. Don't worry about what other people will think. Because if you do you will never do anything You love. If you want to do scene hair do it! Then if you decide you don't like it you could always change it.

Scene hair is like emo hair haha.

I agree with Merna. However, scene hair is VERY choppy and will take a long time to grow out back to its normal length. So, really think about it...I'm personally not as big a fan as I once was years ago lol.

I'm just really scared of how it might look. I really want them so I will have to take the chance. I'm starting out with choppy layers and long bangs and If I like it we will cut more until I am comfortable with the length.

I used to have the scene hair (dying my hair stuck with me though) and it's essentially a mullet just parted differently. If you want to do it, go for it but just remember that it's a pain to grow out.

If you are afraid of what others will think, then scene hair is not for you. No unkindness intended, but hair should be a reflection of who you are inside..an expression of self..and scene hair (although not for my personal taste) is about more than a style. It is as grunge is..or punk...it visually demonstrates attitude; That attitude being one that takes the style opinion of others into interest, but never into consideration for approval. I say this only as a sincere attempt to implore you to examine your inner self and what will make you not only comfortable, but happy. One must own it, to rock it...and that applies to everything from lipsticks and jewelry to art and lifestyles. My best.

To be honest, I don't think you have the hair for it. I don't think people will really understand what you're trying to do with it, and with the slight curl and wave that you have, it might not look good.

I tried to do it before because I absolutely loooove the look of it, but it just simply didn't work with my hair texture or face shape, and I feel you may be in the same boat as me...

Lol you can see from my profile pic, I took it right after I cut my bangs. It stayed like that for 5 minutes and it was super hard to maintain. I suggest finding a hairstyle that is easier to maintain but still represents you.

Thanks for all the sweet comments. I've decided I am doin it. I am SOO pumped. I'm just not getting Aton of choppy layers. Side swept bangs and a few layers. My brother talked me into it!

I'm personally not a fan. It's really hard to maintain and it's kind of the style everyone gets in 7th grade, but then regrets.

I would keep the layers gradual instead of choppy and go for the side bang. Riff is right, it's a mullet, and to make mullets look good you're going to have to be brutal with the backcombing, hairspray and straighter. Go for it if it's something that you like, just be prepared for the daily styling and upkeep. I personally think your hair is light enough that with a little bleach bath you would have a light enough base to dye your hair an unnatural color, which might be easier to maintain in the long run.

I also agree with rozzberry- the scene hair comes with an attitude and culture that you have to participate. Please update us and show us pictures if you go through with it! Good luck 😊
