I was looking into clarisonics and I was planning on saving up for the mia but then I found one called the purasonic which is pretty much exactly the same as the clarisonic. It uses the sonic vibrations instead of a spinning brush and it has three speeds. It does 300 movements a minute which is the same as the clarisonic as well. Where I live it is 180 for the clarisonic or 100 for the purasonic. Would I be okay to get the purasonic instead of the clarisonic?

Personally I don't think anything could be a "dupe" for the Clarisonic. I have the Clarisonic Mia and it's the best investment I've ever made. I also don't see any reason why you'd need multiple speeds since the one speeds does wonders all on its own but maybe that's just me. If I were you I would just save up for the Clarisonic.

I'm a bit worried about spending that much then it not doing anything. I tried one in store and it didn't seem to do that much and when I put it on my skin I couldn't feel anything. ah so many decisions haha. I keep thinking of how much clothing I could buy instead :P.

Well it's not going to vastly improve your skin with just one use and trying it in a store will not give the full effect.

Clarisonic dupes will ruin your skin because Clarisonic is the only device (besides the Luna, which is not my favorite) that offers sonic pulses. Those other cheaper brushes will just tear up your skin. I have had my Clarisonic for 3 years now and it is easily the best investment I have made as far as skin care goes and has saved my skin. I personally don't like Clarisonic cleanser so I just use whatever brand of cleanser I want (which is Philosophy Clear Days) and you MUST find the correct brush for your skin type for it to work properly. I have noticed that the people who don't like Clarisonic is because they aren't using it right; and by that I mean using wrong brush head for their skin, pressing to hard into the face, and not using it consistently. And by that I mean, if you don't use it everyday, then you obviously won't see positive results. I think people are confused because they think that its too harsh for everyday use but it is designed to be used daily. Now those other dupe brushes would definitely be terrible for everyday use. I use mine once a day in the evening and I remove my makeup before using. In the 3 years I have had mine, I have only not used it 2 times and my skin paid for it! So I make sure to never forget to use it now! In the mornings I just wash my face with a gentle cleanser and no Clarisonic.

Clarisonic isnt the only device that uses the sonic pulses because I was looking at the clarisonic and three others that all used the sonic pulses.

Yeah the Clarisonic and the Luna offer sonic pulses. Sorry for answering your question since apparently it wasn't helpful!

If you clearly read my long response, I didn't say Clarisonic was the only device.

Actually you said clarisonic and luna were the only ones with the sonic vibrations and that all other ones weren't worth it. the purasonic, conair true glow and clinque face brush all use sonic vibrations. They all have similar brushes to the clarisonic and don't spin so I don't see how they would tear up your skin. I've been looking into the different ones for months now but each to their own. I'm not getting into an argument about it.

Lol whatever. I just get irritated when I comment on threads and people don't even say thanks! I offered you my opinion on it and didn't even get a thanks for at least taking the time. I am not going to argue with you either I just am sick of the courtesy on here. Beautylish has been dead lately and people wonder why they don't get answers on their threads and its because of people like you who don't thank the people who TRY to help, even if you don't exactly agree with their answer. And no, the Clinique brush and Conair do not offer the sonic pulses like the Clarisonic. I know a lot about it and was just trying to help but you obviously don't appreciate it. I have never heard of the Purasonic so I'm not going say it doesn't. The Clarisonic does not spin, and the other brushes will tear the hell out of your skin. I was just letting you know so you don't waste your money on the other dupe brushes that do in fact irritate your skin. Again sorry for answering your question! I'm not going to comment any more because you probably still won't care. I was only trying to help you until you got rude and I didn't get a thanks.

Just realized I didn't get a "thanks" either, just a retort on how it didn't do much when you tried it in store and then I still didn't get a "thanks" when I said one use isn't going to do much. I'm sorry but you really should be more courteous.
