Today I realized that I have quite a few dresses that I've never worn because they're night out/party dresses and I've never had a reason or place to wear them before.
How can I dress down these dresses so that I can wear them out during the day?
Also, I'm not going to picture the dresses, I'm just asking for general tips, tricks, and ideas.

Leggings, cardigans, shrugs. Flats. That's how I go about dressing mine down anyway. Once I even through a shirt over the dress just to have it look like a skirt.

I'm not too sure about cardigans and leggings though since it gets pretty hot where I live

You can always use colored panty hose instead of leggings. Jean jackets also work and I've seen some dresses dressed down with a crop top or a t-shirt on top (depending on the style of course) Belts help too depending on the style. You can also try button downs depending on the style of the dress. Hope this helps! :)

Since you said it gets hot where you live a kimono might be a little bit cooler..

Jean vests and high top converse! For dresses with that skater cut. I also agree with Nikki about a shirt over top! I do that too.

Sarah, as I already said, it's too hot for cardigans where I live but thank you.

Jean vests and to me the ultimate accessory to dress down dresses is sneakers!!

Converse or vans all the way :) or try adding a flanel, I think they work quite well too. (depending on the dress of course) :)

Play around with jewellery styles. More casual jewellery and accessories help a lot.
