Hi all! I'm studying abroad in about a week and a half, and I'm a notorious overpacker. I'm looking for advice on what to bring, makeup-wise. My problem is that I always want to bring like 400 palettes to make all manner of looks. And glitter. And falsies. Oh god, I'm a maniac.
Anyway, the only solid things on my makeup packing list are:
-Eye primer
-Mascara
-Mascara primer
-1500 makeup brushes
-Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer
-Viseart Cool Mattes palette (I use it as a base to create more interesting looks)
-Black eyeliner
-Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Rockstar
But that's about all I've got. I have no idea what other palettes to bring, what colors I should have, what lipsticks...ugh. Help! Otherwise I'm going to end up with 17 palettes coming with me, and that's just impractical. I just don't know what else I need and a general direction to go in would be super helpful! Thanks y'all!

How long are you going for?
Maybe you could depot some more colourful eyeshadows and make your own palette to take with you?

I'll be there for 5 weeks and I'm sorry depotting my palettes is in no way an option, I love the way my palettes are designed :)

Uh where are you going? I'm an overpacker as well so I don't know if I will be of much help but try to pick one palette pr look. Like one bright matte palette, one bright shimmery palette and so on - I say this and I still always end up leaving with 17 haha!

Brazil :) I know, that's what I do! I was in England for 3 weeks last summer and ended up bringing 5 palettes because I'm a crazy person. You're right though I guess I should just pick palettes that all kind of work together, that balance each other? But all palettes are pretty :(

Uhhh your so lucky!!
Yeah what i do with all my neautral palettes haha is I (try) to bring one with like cool browns, one with warm brown, one with some sparkels and one thats has just a bit of color! Last time a went on a weekend I only took my chocolate bar and I almost cried when I packed, but I made it haha ;)

I can do one palette for a weekend, but for 5 weeks I'm having kind of a panic attack! Haha I completely get it. I'm also kind of melting down about clothing to pack, but that's a different story.

I had the same struggle, the thing was that I was packing for 6 months abroad! haha so at the end I just took with me my BB cream, eyeshadow primer, mascara, gel liner, one blush , three lipsticks (vivid red, deep purple and mauve) and my UD Naked 1 palette. At the end is all you need to have a good range of options :)
And at the end, you can always buy makeup there ;)

Oh I almost died when I packed for 6 months! It was so godawful I didn't know what to do. I do have the advantage of not using face makeup, so I don't need to pack foundation, blush, any of that kind of thing. I'm definitely already packing black and purple eyeliner pencils (I'll probably add more colors later), eye primer, mascara and my Viseart palette, but I do need more variety since I don't actually wear neutrals ever. I'm thinking lipstick-wise maybe an orange, a MLBB shade and possibly some other more wild shades I think...I tend to gravitate towards louder looks anyway.

I would take a neutral palette and a colorful palette, then maybe 1 neutral lipstick and a few of your favorite bright lipsticks:) then you can switch it up. When I went to Peru I usually did basic eyeliner and mascara and wore bright lips because I was too excited about other stuff to spend time on makeup lol:) but that's so awesome yore going to Brazil!

Brazil is one of my favorite places in the world, Taylor, I'm really excited to go back! The trouble is I'm a total eye makeup girl, and I get carried away :)
