What to wear when going out for drinks.

I'm turning 21 this week and I'm going out to some bars with family/friends. I don't really go out much :p so I don't even know what kind of clothes to wear...it's going to be at night obviously btw. Can anyone help?

It depends on what kind of bars you're going to. I dress completely differently if I'm going to a cocktail bar vs. a more pub type bar. Do you have any idea about what type of place you're going?

If not, I find that skinny jeans with a dressy top, heels and a slick of red lipstick is a fairly safe bet.

I usually wear a pair of dark jeans and a fashiony tank top. Something cute but not over dressed if it's just for some drinks.

Like they said it all depends, but dark washed/black skinny jeans, basic neutral tee, and a cute cardigan would look really cute :))
