Why is it that whenever I put on lipstick it looks terrible and the cracks in my lips are very accentuated? I really love wearing lipstick but I can't ever wear it because my lips look very chapped and cracky.I have tried exfoliating with sugar and olive oil but it didn't really do anything.

I exfoliate with my toothbrush every time I brush my teeth, which is twice a day. I run my toothbrush across my lips about 1 minute on both the top and bottom each. Then I use chapstick until ready to apply my lipstick. Lasts all day for me.

That happens to me also with the recent purchase of a peachish color..I suppose nude color.. My lips seem gross with the application of it but when lip gloss is applied right after, the cracks just dissipate from existence. Oh, and I pass my finger over my lips after applying the lipstick and lip gloss to make it seep in or whatnot. Really helps.

Like Shanae said...exfoliate.
a lot of people forget to take care of their lips like they do their face.
you could also use sugar, honey and some type of oil (olive..coconut)
