I have allergic dermatitis. I am allergic to deodorant, soap, any dish soap and etc. I couldn't even use any type of deodorant that is from my country,Malaysia. If I try to use any deodorant,my armpits become red,and rashes start to come out and then my armpits become dry and my skim start to peel off. Idk what to do with this kind of problem?? I really want to use deodorant, but none of them can help me. It's just make my skin become more worser??

The first thing you need to do when it comes to contact dermatitis is go to a dermatologist and ask for an allergy test & with the test results and help from your Dr you can figure out what ingredient in these products you're allergic to. Once that's known, you can do research and hopefully find products that don't contain the ingredient (s). However, a dermatologist should be able to recommend something for you to use. I apologize but that's all the help I can give you, you definitely need to make an appointment and go from there

Salt will keep you from having an odor, but it won't keep you from sweating. it works fairly well. you can either use a salt deodorant, which is a rock that you dampen to apply. in a pinch, even regular table salt will work. but I also recommend seeing a dermatologist.

I'm allergic to deodorant as well, rather I'm allergic to antiperspirant, the active ingredient of which is aluminum. So, instead I use aluminum-free deodorants like Toms of Maine or Dove+ Care for Men, neither of which irritate my skin.

I've heard that baking soda and cornstarch works as a homemade deodorant (haven't tried myself) but since it doesn't contain triclosam I think it might work for you

I am also allergic to deodorant and dish soap, etc. I'm allergic to everything lol. I use a brand called Ban. It's amazing. Also if you have a health food store by you they sell tons of deodorant without aluminum which should help. I've seen people make DIY deodorant out of cornstarch. Maybe check out Pinterest for some ideas.

There are some natural brands that sell something called rock salt deodorant, but I can't remember the actual brand. my physics teacher in high school swore by it.

I second going for allergy tests, and also asking them about a condition that results in your skin causing your reaction. I can't remember the name, it's super long, similar to Dermatographic urticaria
but not as noticeable with the skin writing, but basically it's when something (water, soap, deodorant, lotion etc) touches your skin, sometimes the skin can actually produce histamines, the thing that usually happens when something you're allergic to touches you, the chemical reaction there produces histamines. If after you apply something, and you take an allergy pill (antihistamine) you feel better, definitely talk to your derm and allergist. I was diagnosed with it, but before that it was constant itching and rashes. I had to take an allergy pill after every shower (and still do) and let it sit because the water and the soaps bugged me, but I'm not actually allergic to any of it. My skin is just picky. My allergist actually described it as "imagine you have a little sibling, and they're constantly poking you. Eventually you are going to get mad and probably poke back, right? That's how your skin is reacting. It's just having a bad day and so it produces histamines to let you know that it's irritated, but there's nothing you can do about it, after all you can't get rid of a sibling" lol. So now I just have prescription antihistamines and I take when whenever I shower or am going to a pool.
But as for deodorant, I really would look into more natural ones. Any harsh chemicals aren't going to do you any favors. I love the La vanilla ones they sell at sephora, the one I use is the coconut and vanilla scent, and it's got very few ingredients in it, so if you did react to it you would be able to test the exact ingredients at an allergist. You could also try coconut oil and any scent (vanilla extract would be what I'd use) whip it together and apply. It would absorb the sweat and moisturize, while keeping you smelling good.

I would try and ask the doctor if you can get botox on your pits because finding a good deodorant is haard and I can't imagine how I would find anything that works with less to choose from. If you are a smelly person like myself lol I try and to the botox thing.

I like the dove mens care too. I use it sometimes when I'm out and I steal the hubbys for a day or two. It doesn't smell super manly or anything it's just a real clean scent.
