I was just curious about everyone's opinions because my logic to this is that I would rather have a high-end primer because it goes directly on my skin. However, some like high end foundation better and sometimes these foundations can have skin benefits. So what is your opinion on this?

I think foundation because it's more visible than primer.

I think it really just depends on the product itself - you can find great drug store products as well as high end. It all ready depends on how the products work on your skin as well as how your foundation/primer work qith each other

Everyone has different opinions.
I would rather have a high end primer because this is the "base" for your foundation. I want my foundation to go on nice and smoothly. plus, there are many good drugstore foundations and drugstore primers are a little harder to find.

I've tried a few drugstore primers and had not so pretty outcomes (skin irritation) so for me I like going high-end on my primer. There are so many variables involved when it comes to the right primer and foundation regardless of price point. I've learned from personal experience that even my skincare can affect the outcome of my primer/foundation application.

Well for me I would choose foundation.
since, it's hard for me to find drugstore foundations that actually match my strong neutral undertones.
I have just hated every drugstore foundation I've tried, so I definitely without a doubt would choose a high end foundation over primer.
it makes a huge difference honestly.

Personally, I am able to find drugstore primers that I like (Rimmel London Stay Matte), although I do have a bit of trouble locating a good quality foundation, comparatively speaking to higher end brands. I could never live without my Estée Lauder Perfectionist foundation, so I would choose foundation products for sure.

I personally use both a high end foundation and primer, and don't know if I could choose between the two. However, I agree with Shelley that I haven't had any luck with drugstore primers, yet I have found a few drugstore foundations that I'll use occasionally and with my high end primer it does last longer and looks better. I'm big on ingredients and what I'm applying to my face so I agree with you Mimi I find it really important to use a good primer since it's applied directly to your face but like I said I wouldn't be able to choose because the ingredients in my foundation is just as important to me.
