When is DIY waxing okay?

I planned on getting a bikini wax done, but the only salon in my area charges over $100 to get it done. I have a GiGi Waxing Kit, but I'm not sure what wax to use and if it is actually safe to do it myself. I've waxed my legs, arms, face, and underarms before so I have some knowledge of how to do it.

It's absolutely safe to do yourself, I wax myself all the time but I'm also a licensed esthetician. It's only unsafe if you don't know what you're doing. A bikini isn't a difficult place to wax, a Brazilian can be a little more complicated but still possible. What wax do you have now?

And where do you live? I work in a high end med spa and & a day spa and over 100$ is still quite high for just a bikini wax.

Yeah, if you do it carefully and moisturizer your skin very well afterwards. Also, using Aloe Vera helps soothe irritation :)

I live in Southern California, I know a lot of places that I could get it done for less, but I would like to get it done on a regular basis and I don't have time to be traveling too far just to get waxed.
