I was wondering if anyone out there has experience using Argan Oil as a moisturizer for acne-prone skin. I've read a lot of positive reviews for it on Sephora, etc. but usually when something sounds too good to be true there's a catch.
Any feedback would be really appreciated! 💜💀

Tbh I wouldn't put oil on acne skin. You need all oil free products.

Jojoba oil is actually great for acne prone skin - it doesn't clog pores and most resembles skins natural sebum - I've never tried Argan oil on my face but if you aren't sure you should test a small area first and see how it reacts after a week and if it's nothing negative then try it on your whole face.

I agree, oils can actually be really helpful for acne skin, the acne is clogged pores and the oil can unclog them.
Try it out Patricia it's really all trial and error what'll work on your skin. use it for at least 2 weeks

I have acne prone skin and I use all kinds of oils on my face from maracuja to jojoba oil and I even oil cleanse from time to time with castor and some tea tree oil - not all oils are bad for acne prone skin and like the other beauties mentioned it can sometimes actually help it as I have found with my skin.

Argan oil should be fine, it doesn't clog pores but I don't think it will actually help acne. It's great for eczema if you have any of that.

I love Josie Maran Argan oil and other products. I use the cleansing oil, the exfoliating powder and in the mornings I use the Light oil, let it soak in and then apply the Protect and Perfect moisturizer. At night I use the creamy Argan oil. my skin was super broken out about a month ago and since I have went to more natural type skin care it has cleared up. I know some of her products aren't 100% natural but they are better than some of these others on the market. I can honestly say its definitely help my skin. I do not have a lot of acne, but I think I had a reaction to some of the other skin care I was using. I think I have found my holy grail skin routine, its not looked this great in a long time.
By the way I have dry skin normally, so this may be why it works for for me.

I use Josie Maran Argan Oil Moisturizing SPF lotion and I must say I'm impressed. Right now I'm experiencing the worst breakout ever due to taking some meds and its the only thing during the day that soothes my aching cystic ridden skin. But what's weird...if I apply the oil just by itself on my skin...I will break-out and my skin will feel tight and dry.
