Any oil will pretty much remove makeup, but as jacqlyn said, some particles are to big to absorb into the skin and will break you out.

It works well as an eye makeup remover from my experience, I've never tried it to remove face makeup, but I have used it to moisturize when my skin got really dry and it worked well.

I use it to remove make up, followed by a cleanser and aloe based toner. Works fantastic and is on my skin but for a minute.

I use it to remove my eye makeup, and it worked out really well! I used it on my face once when I ran out of my normal makeup remover wipes, and honestly, it made my face really soft, smooth, and flawless. I took it off with warm water, used my cleanser, toner, & then moisturized as usual, and I had no problem with it. I guess it really depends on your skin type, I have normal to slightly dry skin.
