Help!! I need Highlighting tips.

So for some reason I can't get my highlighters to be as noticeable as some of the pictures and videos I see. I have a ton of colourpop cosmetic highlighters and I just picked up copacabana by nars and none of them pop for me :( is there something I'm doing wrong? Help! Any tips for highlighters?

I'm sure you swatches the highlighters to ensure it shows on your skin. Some pictures and videos use filters and lighting to emphasize highlights. Are you applying them to the right areas: middle of forehead, under the eyebrow on the brow bone, in the inner eyes, on the cheekbone, a little on the Cupid's bow, and lastly the chin? View your masterpiece in direct sunlight. Because I'm naturally "bronzed" I don't see my highlights when applying in the restroom unless I open every window in my bedroom. I'm naturally oily.

That how I was. What I do is I use and eyeshadow brush on the center of my cheekbone (do a line) and then I blend the edges out and leave the center a little more... Not blended? If that makes sense lol

Yes I've tried all these things :( they all show up beautifully on my arm but not my face besides my brow bone

This is me too :( looks somewhat decent in person but you can never see it in pics! I think we're just using ones that don't suit our skin?! I dk. :( I would try benefit high beam!

THIS IS ME TOO! omg what is this craziness lol. I'm a fair tone girl and even Becca's Opal and moonstone just don't wow on my skin, they hardly show up. lol I have no clue
