Hi everyone! A couple of weeks ago I decided I wanted to change my hair color and I have been thinking about that since that moment. At first I thought it would have been a great idea to try a blonde shade but now I'm not really sure about that. Can you suggest me a light brown shade or something like that? It would be super helpful if you post pictures too. Thank you :)
(I hope there aren't mistakes!)

Well what color is your hair right now? If you're going to try and go blonde depending on the color is how many times you'll have to lighten it.

I'd say try out some sort of highlights. For some reason I can't seem to be able to choose a color for you. Usually can for most. So a mixture may look nice.

I see that your hair is pretty red so let me warn you of something, red is one of the hardest colors next to black to get out and to get out properly. You're going to have to strip your hair and depending on how long you've had that color is what your results are going to be. If you hair is any type of damaged I wouldn't go blonde because you'll probably have to strip your hair at least twice. I just recently had black hair and I've been trying to get it out and now I'm stuck with a red color that I can't get out. If you have no experience with hair or bleaching it I would go to a professional. Also you hair can take differently to the bleach then you expect and you won't be able to do it all in one process. getting to blonde will take awhile if you still want hair on your head. just so you know what you're getting into if you pick blonde or any lighter color.

Thank you so much @Justine for your detailed reply! I always go to my hairdrasser because I don't think I could do a great job with my hair hahaha. I took that photo 7 months ago and I re-dyed my hair 3 times since than. Now the color is faded out and it is not that bright anymore. I will try to decide with my hairdrasser :)

If you've dyed your hair several times with red dye talk to your hairdresser about using a coluur remover before using bleach. A colour remover is usually sulfur based and with shrink the red dye colour molecules so that they can be washed out. coliur removers tend to be much less damaging than bleach. If you're going for blonde your hairdresser will probably still have to bleach your hair but removing the excess colour first with a coliur remover will probably give a nicer end result. some hairdressers jump straight to bleach because they were not trained with colour removers however it would be a good process to bring up with your hairdresser when you get your hair done.
