So as the bathing suit season is now apon west canada, I'm faced with the dilemma of hiding my scars on my upper thighs. I'm very embarrassed about them and only 3 friends and my doctor know. I'm looking for swim/athletic shorts in either black or white please. I'm terribly ashamed of my scars so please be understanding and kind :) Thank you beauties and remember that you're all strong and beautiful and don't do what I did.

I have scars on my thighs, not from self harm but I found a bathing suit from VS that covers. And no one will notice, honestly if anyone does they'll assume their stretch marks as long as their scars. But a boy short type of bottom would hide them.

Yeah they would look like stretch marks if they are fully healed, but I definitely understand why you personally would want the peace of mind. You can find boy shorts at almost any swim suit shop but I personally love using my Nike Pros in the water when I wakeboard! They last forever and don't get as worn down by the water :) I always get one size smaller though because when clothes is wet it tends to stretch to whatever it is on, so it will kind of conform to your body as it dries

Okay my love, I have self harm scars which go the opposite direction as stretch marks do so it's obviously not a stretch mark but these are old old and when I did then I hadn't worn a swim suit in years. Now I do and I was self conscious over it but honestly you'd olny tell if you put your face in my crotch and I told you they were there. That aside, I love my swim shorties I got from Walmart. Super cheap $5 and they are long enough to cover them.

I understand your delima. I would try getting the ones that are like skirt type things that way they're long enough to cover but still kinda cute.

You could also try to find a retro style suit. I have one that covers the upper part of my thighs (found it at Old Navy)

I have exactly the same problem as you, I have them on my thighs and hips. I wear a retro-style high-waisted bikini and put gymnasts shorts over the top to hide them. You can buy them anywhere, vut I'd suggest either Milano or Elite. They both have websites

I wear my nike pros when I surf and they don't ride up at all. But I also own a pair of swim shorts from Roxy.
